So today my spoiled private school ass got to go to the Museum of Modern Art for the second time this school year except this time it wasn't with my photo class + 100 other kids it was just with my english class-like 15 kids (the only reason we got to do this is because my english teacherS are the dean of students and the head of the upper school- what a joke). SO, while the rest of my grade was at school bitching and moaning (rightfully so), I was exploring this amazing new exhibit which opened yesterday. It was breath-taking! Once you get over the whole... "a two year old could have done this" complex... its really deep. I could have walked around there for weeks, but of course we had like 2 hours. So in conclusion, take a trip up to nyc its so worth it. ill be going back.
outside of that exhibit. Jackson Pollock is my man. the dude was fucked up, clearly, but he created some truly amazing shit. i honestly spent a significant amount of time thinking of how to steal a 20 x 10 ft. painting. ah so sad. this really does no justice to the actual painting but whatever.
